Snow Days!!

Wanted to share some pics of the girls in the Snow. We had a few Snow days this year, they really enjoyed the day at home!! Notice Lyla's snazzy boots and yes, those are socks on her hands, but they worked well! You know we aren't prepared for these things in the south!

Anyone want to Dance?

So...not so great at keeping resolutions as you can see! It's been exactly 3 months since I've been on to update the blog...I mean you know I've been busy...work, kids, life, laundry, work, kids, life, laundry...and so on and so on...

BUT, some friends reminded me last week that it had been a while since I've posted, so I've GOT TO GET BETTER. I mean it would require me to NOT go straight to bed after the girls get in bed...but I am TIRED. I have come to realize that either I sleep, or I'm lousy the next day, so my choice has been to sleep, sorry to anyone that was disappointed!!

On a positive note, I'm really ready to dance! I'm doing an awesome Bible study at church, "When Wallflowers Dance" and not only is the study very eye opening, it's very refreshing as well to be sitting in the room with so many awesome women of God that are all in some way or another the same "dance" or lack there of that I am in. I mean, I used to be SO SO SO connected, connected to God, to my Faith, to my DAILY walk with HIM. But life has gotten me down, not emotionally so much as spiritually. Sure, I am a strong Christian woman, I love my Lord, I love my family, and my life. But I need to spend more time with HIM, more QUALITY time. So I'm asking my prayer warrior friends out there, that I KNOW I have, to please pray for my walk. So that I may be in step with HIS Dance daily, and that everything else I do reflects the dance that I am starting my day with. THANK YOU FRIENDS!

Taking Advice...PLEASE

Okay, I resolve to do better at this blogging thing this year! PROMISE!!

BUT, I need some help. First of all, the layout (colors, design, etc) don't really portray who we are...I mean it's nice and all, but I'd like a little more "spunk" if you will, any gurus out there that can help??

Also, I CAN NOT figure out how to allow someone to comment. It appears that the settings are correct, but the options to comment are not there??? HELP!

Once I don't feel like a blog beginner, I'll probably be hooked, I'm sure! Kind of like coupons...I'm getting addicted, and I can hear the conversation that is to come...umm are you seriously saving money by being this crazy over coupons? Well, my attempts are to certainly try, and I'm taking advice from friends, and praying that it will work!!

So...any advice on the above topics is GREATLY appreciated!

Just to get you going...this is the picutre that my mom put on my birthday cake last weekend...yes that's me, about 23 years ago I guess...give or take...I LOVED being a punk rocker, and Halloween was the perfect opportunity to show it off! My mom made the best "home made" Halloween outfits!!

I guess something was stuck, but it's there now, see how silly we were for our Christmas Card? Sage LOVES this picture, she laughs when she sees it!

Okay,
So I posted an update yesterday...but I can't see it. I see it only when I'm trying to edit the blog layout...HELP!

One of my friends added me to her list...so I really need to get in the game here...I am a "blog" reader...but ready to be an active poster too!

I PROMISE this year I'm going to do better (or next year, depending on when you read this).

Merry Christmas!

I can hardly believe this year will be over tomorrow! Where does time go? We have had such a great year, everyone is happy, healthy, and Very BLESSED!

Christmas this year was so much fun! Sage was really into everything, and Lyla thought she had to open ALL of the gifts! Nothing phases that little one, she amazes me~

Sage was excited to see that Santa came, ate some cookies, and left some presents! She also saw that he "accidentally" left his hat by the fire place, so we'll have to pack that up and send it back to him, don't want his head getting chilly!

Chris is doing REMARKABLE at the School he's working at. He's received some great commendations, and his Faculty and Students seem to really LOVE him!

I turned the big 30 last weekend. And Chris had a great party for me! He had the house all decked out in 80's things, things from my childhood, including pictures, posters, and my prized Strawberry Shortcake Doll collection (thanks to mom!!). We had a great time, and it was fun to stroll down memory lane with all of that stuff!

Work is going well for me, I've been in my current role for a year now, and I really do love it. It's an enlightening feeling to know you can go into work and KNOW you are appreciated and cared for! Of course at the hospital, that's what we do, right???

I hope this finds everyone HAPPY, HEALTHY, and BLESSED at the end of 2008, and I pray you will all feel the love of our Lord in 2009!

3 Months...guess we're busy!

SO it's been 3 LONG months since I last posted. Of course a lot has gone on since then! Both girls had birtday parties, Sage is 3 now, and Lyla is one! I can't believe they are getting so big!

We had a great summer, and have had a great fall! Sage is getting very exicted about Santa coming soon...but reminds us that it's not Christmas yet, if she sees someone that has already put lights up. One of Sage's favorite things to do is Gymnastics. She goes to the Little Gym on Tuesday nights, and now she is a "Funny Bug" so she goes into class on her own. She really does awesome with it, I'm so impressed with her skills already! She also loves to sing, and she's pretty good at that too! In fact, we've been listening to my choir CD for the Christmas show at church, and I bet she knows more of the songs than I do~

Her sister is very busy these days as well. She's walking all of the time now, and running most of the time. She wants to do everything that Sage is doing all of the time. She's a very happy little girl, and very rambunctious. She's often falling off of what ever she is on, but it never phases her, she bounces right back up and keeps going.
