It's there now
I guess something was stuck, but it's there now, see how silly we were for our Christmas Card? Sage LOVES this picture, she laughs when she sees it!
CONFUSED
Okay,
So I posted an update yesterday...but I can't see it. I see it only when I'm trying to edit the blog layout...HELP!
One of my friends added me to her list...so I really need to get in the game here...I am a "blog" reader...but ready to be an active poster too!
I PROMISE this year I'm going to do better (or next year, depending on when you read this).
So, tag me, or whatever it's called and I'll jump in!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Merry Christmas!
I can hardly believe this year will be over tomorrow! Where does time go? We have had such a great year, everyone is happy, healthy, and Very BLESSED!
Christmas this year was so much fun! Sage was really into everything, and Lyla thought she had to open ALL of the gifts! Nothing phases that little one, she amazes me~
Sage was excited to see that Santa came, ate some cookies, and left some presents! She also saw that he "accidentally" left his hat by the fire place, so we'll have to pack that up and send it back to him, don't want his head getting chilly!
Chris is doing REMARKABLE at the School he's working at. He's received some great commendations, and his Faculty and Students seem to really LOVE him!
I turned the big 30 last weekend. And Chris had a great party for me! He had the house all decked out in 80's things, things from my childhood, including pictures, posters, and my prized Strawberry Shortcake Doll collection (thanks to mom!!). We had a great time, and it was fun to stroll down memory lane with all of that stuff!
Work is going well for me, I've been in my current role for a year now, and I really do love it. It's an enlightening feeling to know you can go into work and KNOW you are appreciated and cared for! Of course at the hospital, that's what we do, right???
I hope this finds everyone HAPPY, HEALTHY, and BLESSED at the end of 2008, and I pray you will all feel the love of our Lord in 2009!

3 Months...guess we're busy!
SO it's been 3 LONG months since I last posted. Of course a lot has gone on since then! Both girls had birtday parties, Sage is 3 now, and Lyla is one! I can't believe they are getting so big!
We had a great summer, and have had a great fall! Sage is getting very exicted about Santa coming soon...but reminds us that it's not Christmas yet, if she sees someone that has already put lights up. One of Sage's favorite things to do is Gymnastics. She goes to the Little Gym on Tuesday nights, and now she is a "Funny Bug" so she goes into class on her own. She really does awesome with it, I'm so impressed with her skills already! She also loves to sing, and she's pretty good at that too! In fact, we've been listening to my choir CD for the Christmas show at church, and I bet she knows more of the songs than I do~
Her sister is very busy these days as well. She's walking all of the time now, and running most of the time. She wants to do everything that Sage is doing all of the time. She's a very happy little girl, and very rambunctious. She's often falling off of what ever she is on, but it never phases her, she bounces right back up and keeps going.

Here are a few pictures of them both...if you can't get to the link, I'll post some on the Blog soon.

Sage...the BIG sister!
Sage has had quite a year! She's gone from our little girl, to big sister, "good helper", potty trained, silly goose! Yes, in case you are wondering, she's still "DADDY'S GIRL" ALL of the way, mommy's only her favorite about one hour out of the week...it is so bad that even when I go to pick her up at day care, she cries and tells all that will listen that "I WANTED DADDY TO PICK ME UP", yeah, that's not embarrassing at all.

By and by Sage is such a joy to be around. She is alwasy doing something to make us scratch our heads and ask how old is she again? She can spell her name, and her sister's. She is pretty smart for an almost 3 year old (can you believe she will be 3 next month?) She is actively involved in her "nastics" on Saturday mornings at the Little Gym (aka to us adults - Gymnastics). She'll be starting her 3rd semester there next week.

She's a sweet big sister, although sometimes she does forget that Lyla is 2 years younger than her. It will catch up to her when Lyla can "fight" back! We are absolutely loving every minute of watching Sage grow up into a young lady.
She also has a heart for Christ, singing Jesus Loves Me is one of her favorite songs, and she often tells us that Jesus lives in her heart. Her excitement when she sees "Churchie" makes me smile from ear to ear, she loves going to her classes on Sunday and Wednesday, and often times holds her parents accountable for attendance!

Look at this Face
Does this look like someone that would be so silly, active, and mischevious? Well it is! When they say that no two kids are the same....BOY are they right! Lyla is nothing like her sister. She is into EVERYTHING, and I mean EVERYTHING!
When Missing, Lyla can often be found in Duke's water or food dish, at his cage eating his treats, or even upstairs by herself, clapping and laughing. The last one threw us for a loop. I remember being able to leave Sage in one spot for ever, she would sit there and play. NOT LYLA! The other night, Chris heard her in the monitor. Assuming that I took her upstairs, just just peeked around the corner to make sure that I was not still sitting at the computer. I WAS....Lyla went upstairs by her self, and was sitting in front of her room, smiling and clapping when her daddy bolted up the stairs to find her.
So the next picture is a bit more realistic, notice that she's between the furniture? Yes, that's Lyla!

It's been a LONG time!
Well, as I imagined, managing life (kids, work, CHRIS, etc) doesn't allow for a lot of extra time to post how we are doing!!
Summer has flown by! We started out on Vacation in Edisto Beach in mid June, and now School will start back for Chris in two weeks. We've stayed pretty busy this summer. In June I went to Atlanta with some girl friends to a Beth Moore conference. It was a great trip! We flew up to NY State in July for my cousin Jacqui's wedding. It was a VERY quick trip, I'll go into more detail on that in a separate post.
We just came down to HHI for a short trip before school starts back, it's HOT down here!!
Events this summer:
LYLA is a MESS! She is a very happy baby! She's into EVERYTHING, crawling all over the place, into cabinets, her sister's toys, her sister's hair, pretty much anything her sister is doing! Sage is a trooper though! Lyla will grab a hold of her hair, and she will say, ever so sweetly (most of the time), LYLA, please let go of my hair!! For the most part they get along great, most times they are rolling on the floor together, at times Sage forgets that Lyla is not 3, and she's a little rough, but it usually doesn't phase Lyla!
Lyla loves the Ocean, Sage loves the sand! Sage isn't a big fan of the waves, she never really has been, in fact, sometimes she's just like her mommy, she'd rather sit in her chair and soak up the rays! Lyla on the other hand loves the ocean, loves the waves to crash over her head, she thinks its great! We took a week long trip to Edisto Beach with my mom, Bob, Sister and BIL (Brother In Law). It was a great week! That was Lyla's first beach trip, and nothing about the ocean phased her!
As the summer is winding down, we are planning our busy fall! Sage will be 3 in September, she tells us that every day (and reminds us that she will be getting a big girl bike). I can't believe she is already 3. Seems like we were just getting ready for her arrival into the world. She is so awesome! Lyla will be 1 in October, again another year goes by way too fast. She's a sweet happy little girl!
I'll post some separate stories on their own!
